Conranch Hackle produces premium rooster and hen hackle that is second to none. This is an old flock that has consistently produced top quality rooster capes and saddles for the dry fly fisherman, as well as, top quality JV Hen and Mature Hen capes and saddles for the wet fly fisherman. Well known "Old Timers" contributed to the blood lines of these birds. They are still being produced in a scientific manner so as to continually improve the feather quality demanded by YOU the "Fly Tier".
Detailed records are kept on each and every bird we produce. We now have over 30 separate families, enabling us to produce better quality hackle each year. Conranch Hackle sells only natural feathers. None of our feathers are dyed. If you desire a special color, we suggest you dye your own to obtain exactly what color you want. The Barred Creams and Whites are the best colors for dyeing and will give you the best overall results.
None of our hackle breeding stock is ever offered for sale to the public. We do, however, offer some exotic pheasant breeding stock.
